Reconnecting with the Rescued

When Latham and Megan Jenkins had to call 911, the Jackson Hole Fire/EMS team brought more than emergency care to their door. They brought compassion, professionalism, confidence, and skill when their family needed it most.
“In a rural community like Jackson Hole, we often take for granted that highly trained emergency responders will be there when we need them most. The reality is that this level of service only exists because dedicated men and women choose to make helping others their life's work, whether as paid professionals or volunteers. They stand ready every day for what most of us hope we never experience.
That commitment is becoming harder to sustain. The rising cost of living is making it increasingly difficult for many first responders to continue living and working in our community. If we value rapid response times, exceptional medical care, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing help is only minutes away, we also have to value the people who provide it.
Nothing is more important in that moment than knowing someone is coming to help.
To everyone at Jackson Hole Fire/EMS who answered our call, thank you. Your care meant more to our family than words can express. As a community, let’s ensure these remarkable people have the resources they need to keep serving all of us.”
Supporting our first responders means investing in the people who show up for us when it matters most. Together, we can ensure Jackson Hole Fire/EMS has the resources and support needed to continue caring for our community.
