Housing Assistance Program

The Housing Assistance Program raises funds to construct housing, assist with the affordability burden, and advocate to ease the housing burden of JH Fire/EMS members. This fund helps ensure our firefighters and EMTs can continue to live near where they work by creating housing solutions that address the unique needs of the department. The fund provides assistance to Teton County to build member housing and relieve the pressure of the cost of living.
In 2025, we conducted a housing study, which included a survey of the housing needs and desires of the members of Jackson Hole Fire/EMS. Members cited housing availability as the primary threat to retention of current members and as a barrier to recruitment of new members in the future.
The study confirmed that housing is an important part of the local government provision burden in Teton County. It also provided crucial information for JH Fire/EMS to utilize while designing housing at new stations.
The Jackson Hole Fire/EMS Foundation is prepared to assist with the relieving housing burden on Teton County government. In 2026 we are raising funds to build housing at stations and assist with easing the cost of living.
The Housing Assistance Program is part of the overall Foundation programs supporting the well-being and readiness of the Jackson Hole Fire/EMS Department. Donations directly support our programs.
